I'm glad you could clear up how the models were found. As far as mentioning Babeland a lot, I totally get that. I spend a lot of time at Early to Bed (the sex shop I work at) and know it's products better than those at other stores. But the thing is, I would've loved to recommend the book to my boss, but feel that I can't because it pushes Babeland so hard. I would've liked to see the lube section be a little more inclusive and maybe even recommend people peruse their local feminist sex shop if Babeland isn't nearby. It can be a lot more fun to touch and play with toys while shopping. I know they're technically competition, but it would be nice if the feminist sex shops could co-exist. I know it's not perfect, but we did feel good about the "queer inclusivity" that you mentioned. Babeland is where our experience is, so we mention it a lot. As for the models, interestingly, we got a most of them from our customer list- we sent out a model call and got amazing vibrant people- the shoots were really fun & positive. A couple of the models are Babeland staff (I'm in there too- don't ask people to do what you won't do yourself!). But of courseit wasn't a job requirement.
