I am a queer sex educator/accountant living in the big city with my wife and two cats. I am the creator of Ask Garnet, review porn for XCritic, and have a monthly column on Pop My Cherry Review. I also work as a sex educator at Chicago’s first feminist sex shop: Early to Bed and teach workshops when time allows. If you’d like to hire me for a workshop head over to the Hire Me page for more info.
I was raised in a sex positive household by a mother who “hid” sex ed books for me in the bookshelf so I could get answers to the questions that were too embarrassing to ask her. I learned so much from those books and shared my knowledge with friends. As a kid everyone came to me for sex info, stories, and jokes. As an adult everyone still comes to me for sex info and relationship advice. They know that I will not judge them and very little freaks me out.
I absorb sex info like a sponge. I’m what you might call a sex geek. I find it all amazingly fascinating and love to study sexuality, relationships, and gender identity.
In college I double majored in psychology and gender and women’s studies. In my last semester of college I independently studied the history of sexuality in America with the amazingly talented gay historian John D’Emilio.
My newest venture is learning how to make porn. I have a screenplay already written. The next step is figuring out how to get it made. If you believe in ethical pornography and are interested in helping me please contact me.
