Sinclair Sexsmith and I will be hosting another porn party on twitter. This time we’ll be watching 4 scenes from the new site QueerPorn.TV. Join in on the fun at 6 PM PST/ 9 PM EST on Wednesday January 19th by following along with the #pornparty hashtag on twitter. We’ll all be hitting play at about the same time and tweeting our commentary. We’ve done this a few times before and it’s always a blast.

In other news, I often have people asking me for recommendations for ethical porn so I decided to add my own video on demand (VOD) service to the site. You can click the above menu tab that says “Porn” or click on “Garnet Approved VOD” under Porn I Love in my right sidebar. It can also be reached by simply typing in vod.askgarnet.com. The service is hosted by HotMoviesForHer and it allows me to filter by studio. Through vod.askgarnet.com you can only view studios that I feel are ethical which leaves about 650 movies which is still a giant chunk. I then whittled it down to 70+ featured films which are easy to find on the front page. These are my absolute favorite studios. And then to highlight my absolute favorite movies I created a top 10 under Editor’s Picks. I tried to include a variety of films in this section, but I will point out that I’m missing gay male porn. I really am unfamiliar with it unfortunately. However, if you know a gay porn studio that you think is ethical please tell me about it and include how they are different and I’ll consider adding them.

Every time you watch a movie through my VOD service I will get a percentage. Think of it as a way to support me, this blog, and ethical pornography.

Ethical Gay Male Bondage Porn

Q: I hate the idea of supporting unethical porn. Do you know of any ethical porn sites that are not too expensive or that charge by the day? I usually only watch porn once a month, so I do not want to pay too much. I especially like gay (male) bondage porn. Any recommendations would be great!

A: I love that you’re on board with supporting ethical porn. It’s so nice to see people who are really interested in making a difference using their dollars to vote for what they want and don’t want in the world.

There aren’t a whole lot of porn sites that are really inexpensive or only charge by the day. However, what you may be interested in doing is either joining up for a month and taking a day or two to just go through all of their content and copy to your computer what you think you’ll need for the next several months. Obviously you should do this in an ethical way so don’t use special software to grab content and don’t share the content you grab with other people. It should be for your own personal use. Another option is to do video on demand (VOD) so that you only pay for what you watch.

I’m not too familiar with gay male bondage porn so I asked around for some advice from sex workers and companies I trust. First I asked VOD site HotMoviesForHer because they’re just awesome and they suggested Muscle Bound Productions. I can’t speak to the ethical nature of Muscle Bound Productions, but Hot Movies is pretty awesome. New users get 10 free minutes and then you just pay for what you watch when you want to watch. There’s no signup fees or anything.

Jiz Lee suggested Titan Men which has a few different options for signing up including VOD. Then there’s also Kink.com which houses more porn than anyone could ever possibly watch. Check out their Kink Men Gay Shoots on VOD. But like I said, they have a ton of porn so just look around at their different websites to see what appeals to you.

Mandy Candy

My latest review for XCritic is up and it is probably going to be my last. I’m just too busy and I have more than enough porn to watch for right now that has to be reviewed for other companies. This review is for Mandy Candy by Good Releasing. I’ve seen quite a few of their films, some I’ve loved, some I’ve liked but not loved, but this is the first time I’ve seen a film of theirs that I really didn’t like.

Here’s a snippet:

Because of the cast, the director, and the copy on the box I felt like this was going to be a kinky, dirty, raw kind of porno flick, but instead it felt contrived and dull. There was very little chemistry between actors and most of the sex scenes were very boring. The attempt at different camera techniques mostly made me feel nauseated and confused. However, the women are all incredibly beautiful and the masturbation and domination scene between Devi Lynne and Mandy Morbid is worth a watch which is why I recommend renting this film and fast forwarding through the boring parts.

I have to say that it’s becoming more and more difficult to review porn as I get to know more people in the porn biz. Or I guess I should say that it’s becoming more difficult to give them negative reviews. But these are all my opinion and others may have other opinions about these films.
