Mandy Candy

My latest review for XCritic is up and it is probably going to be my last. I’m just too busy and I have more than enough porn to watch for right now that has to be reviewed for other companies. This review is for Mandy Candy by Good Releasing. I’ve seen quite a few of their films, some I’ve loved, some I’ve liked but not loved, but this is the first time I’ve seen a film of theirs that I really didn’t like.

Because of the cast, the director, and the copy on the box I felt like this was going to be a kinky, dirty, raw kind of porno flick, but instead it felt contrived and dull. There was very little chemistry between actors and most of the sex scenes were very boring. The attempt at different camera techniques mostly made me feel nauseated and confused. However, the women are all incredibly beautiful and the masturbation and domination scene between Devi Lynne and Mandy Morbid is worth a watch which is why I recommend renting this film and fast forwarding through the boring parts.

I have to say that it’s becoming more and more difficult to review porn as I get to know more people in the porn biz. Or I guess I should say that it’s becoming more difficult to give them negative reviews. But these are all my opinion and others may have other opinions about these films. Seven Minutes in Heaven: Coming Out!

I have a new porno review on XCritic! This time I reviewed Seven Minutes in Heaven: Coming Out. I loved it! I just didn’t love the lighting in the bathroom :(. You should definitely pick up a copy.

A snippet:
Seven queer folks are gathered in a house for sex and a sleepover. What results is the first queer gonzo porn. There is no plot or script. Everyone fucks the way they want to and it gets filmed (with the illegal parts like fisting taken out for DVD distribution). Speakeasy

Here’s my latest installment on XCritic. I reviewed Speakeasy which won a Feminist Porn Award for most tantalizing trans film. My advice: rent it, but don’t spend the cash to buy it. Here’s a snippet:

Fluid: Women Redefining Sexuality

A new porn review of mine just went up on XCritic today! Yay! This one is for Fluid: Women Redefining Sexuality which I liked a whole lot. Here’s a snippet from my review:

I can really see why this film was nominated for a Feminist Porn Award. The women are expressing their own sexuality on their terms through words and actions. This film is informative and also super hot. I really like to know my porn stars because I feel like I can get in their heads more when they’re fucking. I know what they want and I know what makes them cum. What could possibly be hotter? And sure, you’re probably not going to watch the interviews more than a couple of times max (unless you’re writing your thesis on feminist or queer porn), but the sex is so hot that it will keep you coming back for more. And they were smart enough to separate the interviews from the sex in the scene selections so you don’t have to fast forward through all the talking to get to the fucking.

Speaking of fucking, what sets this movie apart from a lot of others is that the women are very obviously enjoying themselves. Hell they set up their own scenes so they should be enjoying them! There is also a lot more passionate kissing in this porn than I’ve seen in most. You can tell the actors are really into it. And yeah, the sound and lighting isn’t great, but I’m starting to expect that from independent porn studios. The extras are total crap, but the film stands by itself really well so for that reason I highly recommend it. Read more …

Frisk Me Review

Another new review up at XCritic! This time I’m finally stepping away from the AbbyWinters stuff and have moved on to Good Releasing titles. In honor of Satine Phoenix’s departure from porn I decided to review Frisk Me first.
